CSTB'2010 The General Satellite Corporation participated in the 12th international exhibition CSTB'2010 — major annual event in a sphere of telecommunication and broadcasting technologies in Eastern Europe and CIS countries. An important event for our company took place during the exhibition — the Corporation and Samsung Electronics signed the Agreement on a start of a joint 3D-project and cooperation in development and manufacture of TV-sets with built-in satellite tuner for the largest Russian satellite TV operator "Tricolor TV" and HDTV satellite broadcast operator "Platform HD" (more). First in Russia and Eastern Europe digital satellite broadcasting of 3D-video was launched on the first day of the exhibition as part of the "Platform HD" project (more). Three-dimensional video image broadcasting, judging by the visitors’ feedback, is currently regarded as the most exciting and modern telecommunication technology. The innovative capacity of the Corporation allows it to respond quickly to ever changing market conditions, offering advanced technological solutions. New receiver series were presented at an exhibition display of the General Satellite Corporation, as its core business remains to be the development and production of digital STBs and software and firmware for them. Vladimir Chukhonin, testing engineer of Testing and implementation Department at the International Development Center, says: "We presented the new model series of General Satellite receivers (GS-8300, FTA-7003/CI-7104, TE-8511, HD-9510, HD-9420, HD-9300). There were a double task — firstly, to introduce the equipment to the visitors, to provide necessary explanations, have professional discussions etc., and, secondly, and no less importantly, to receive a feedback, which will help us to improve our products characteristics. So, the job had definitely not been done with closing of the exhibition, it just started, in fact".   |
