Number Subscribers ofSatellite TV Service Provider “Tricolor – TV” reaches 5 mln

  According to a report by the Ministry of Communications press-service the number of subscribers of the satellite TV service provider “Tricolor – TV” has now reached 5 mln people.

  “Tricolor – TV” is a Russian satellite TV service provider that supplies digital broadcasting of channel packages to the European territory of the RF as well as to Siberia, the Urals and Far Eastern districts.

  Service in the European part of Russia began in December 2005 via the satellite Eutelsat W4 /36 º/. In December 2007 broadcasting to the RF Eastern regions started /project “Tricolor  TV Siberia” / via Russian satellite Bonum – 1/ 56 º/. Subscriber equipment recommended for viewing the packages offered by “Tricolor TV” has been produced since February 2008 on the territory of RF by the “Tricolor TV” technological partner – “General Satellite Corporation”.

  The main feature which distinguishes “Tricolor TV” from other providers is a free package of TV channels. Satellite technologies of TV signal transfer allowed “Tricolor TV” to provide the regions where terrestrial TV reception is complicated with the major Russian TV channels.
