Moscow. A meeting was held on July, 15 between representatives of the General Satellite Corporation and the Department of Asian and African Countries of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

The General Satellite Corporation will take part in activities of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), in particular of the Coordination Group for Digital Broadcasting.

St. Petersburg, July 12. Management of the General Satellite Corporation and Canal Overseas during the first working meeting expressed mutual interest in developing cooperation in several areas and discussed the details of possible joint activities.

The General Satellite Corporation representatives took part in the International Parliamentary Conference and Business Forum "Russia - Africa" held in Moscow on June 15-16 this year after participating in the largest regional conference SatCom Africa 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Government delegation visited exposition of the General Satellite Corporation at the collective booth of the Presidential Commission on the Modernization and Technological Development of the Russian Economy at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The representatives of the General Satellite Corporation attended the Ninth conference of the Russian-Arab Business Council and also the Second Arab exhibition in Moscow, "Arabia-EXPO", scheduled to coinside with the conference. The largest Arabic TV channel Al-Jazeera covered the forum.

Reception equipment for the largest Russian satellite TV operator "Tricolor TV" transmission was installed at the CN PECLA site in Moscow within the frame of cooperation between the General Satellite Corporation and the National Committee for Promoting Economic Cooperation with Latin American countries.

Satellite Corporation, a Russian research and production company and Valery Gergiev, Principal Conductor of London Symphony Orchestra presented the first 3D projects of the Mariinsky Theatre at an exclusive screening on 19 May 2010 at The Barbican, London.

Representatives of the General Satellite Corporation in Johannesburg participated in the largest regional conference SatCom Africa 2010 dealing with the development of satellite technologies in Africa, as well as in the fifth Annual Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum 2010 (under the auspices of the Commonwealth).
